This is disgusting. Women are people, we are RESPONSIBLE FOR GIVING LIFE SO WHY ON EARTH CAN PEOPLE AND RELIGIONS CONDONE UNFAIRLY AND HORRIBLY, TAKING AWAY LIVES OF WOMEN? We deserve just as much freedoms as men… in every part of the world. I’m sorry, but the way certain sects and religions degrade women genuinely disgusts me, and I know for some of them, they are brought up in it, so it probably seems acceptable and ‘normal’ to them, but no one should have to live in a place or culture where they are subjected to these sort of things and in place where you live in fear that you could be KILLED because of something like your hair being seen in public.
Honor killings, yeah, right. There will never be anything honorable about dying because some person with a superiority complex believes you are not a ‘good enough’ person to deserve life.
I know it’s a Bible reference and whatever, but, for real… the first to have not sinned themselves shall cast the first stone goes pretty far.
No human is perfect and no gender should be treated so lowly when the other is forgiven for things and put on such a high pedestal.
I’m not Muslim. I’m not really anything, but I was raised in a Christian atmosphere, so that’s really the only religion I know very much about, but I have learned a few things about Muslims and their beliefs toward women.
It is insane that these kinds of things happen in a era where many of us belief to be free and equal.
I don’t mean to offend anyone, but if you truly believe these kinds of things are acceptable, then I think you need to look at life through the scope of being a human and how you should treat one another, not how to make yourself look better than others.
Whatever, Most of what I’ve said has probably not made sense, but yeah, I’m done.
Also, I am so damn glad I live in a country where we have freedom of religion. Until recently, I have never though about how grateful I should be for that, but I’m sure learning to be thankful for it.
